Wirtschaftliche Betrachtung RLT-Anlagen – Vermeidbare Kosten bei weniger Atemwegserkrankungen Die Relevanz einer hohen Innenraumluftqualität wird unter anderem durch krankheitsbedingte Fehlzeiten verdeutlicht, die im Zusammenhang mit unzureichender Belüftung oder ungeeigneten raumklimatischen Bedingungen stehen. Eine hohe Raumluftqualität kann die Konzentrationsfähigkeit verbessern und gleichzeitig das Risiko der Übertragung von Atemwegserkrankungen reduzieren. Dies trägt zur Verringerung krankheitsbedingter Ausfälle bei und wirkt sich somit direkt auf die betriebliche Produktivität aus. Claus Händel stellt eine Vorgehensweise vor, mit der die Wirtschaftlichkeit von RLT-Anlagen in Relation zu möglichen Kosteneinsparungen durch vermiedene Atemwegserkrankungen abgeschätzt werden kann. Verwendet werden die regelmäßigen Veröffentlichungen der BAUA zu volkswirtschaftlichen Kosten durch Arbeitsunfähigkeit in verschiedenen Wirtschaftsbereichen sowie Investitionskosten für eine RLT-Anlage. Je nach Ausführung und Funktion ist mit Vollkosten (Investition, Energie, Betrieb) für eine RLT-Anlage von 60 bis 170 € je Arbeitnehmer und Jahr zu rechnen. Der Break Even mit den vermiedenen Kosten (Bruttowertschöpfung) ergibt sich bei etwa 0,3 bis 0,5 Arbeitstagen oder 4 bis 12 % vermiedene Atemwegserkrankungen. In der Literatur werden die durch gute Raumluftqualität vermeidbaren Atemwegserkrankungen von 10 bis 50 % beziffert. In jedem Fall ergibt sich also eine positive Wertschöpfung.
